The Question That Determines Eternity
Across the world, millions practice religion without ever experiencing true spiritual rebirth. Many know church traditions. Many know religious language. Many know about God intellectually. Yet Jesus declared that unless a person is born again of water and the Spirit, they cannot enter the Kingdom of God.
This message was not spoken to criminals or pagans. Jesus spoke these words to Nicodemus — a respected religious leader. This means a person can be religious and still spiritually lost.
“Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” — John 3:5 (KJV)
Religion Cannot Save the Soul
Human effort cannot produce spiritual life. Church attendance cannot remove sin. Rituals cannot transform the heart. Good works cannot erase guilt before a holy God.
That is why humanity needs supernatural rebirth through Jesus Christ. The gospel is not merely self-improvement. It is transformation by the Holy Spirit.
Christianity is not about becoming more religious. It is about becoming spiritually alive through Jesus Christ.

The Meaning of Water and the Spirit
Being born of water points toward cleansing, repentance, and the washing power of God’s truth. Being born of the Spirit refers to the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit in giving new life to a sinner.
The new birth changes the human heart. It produces conviction of sin, love for God, desire for holiness, and transformation of character.
“Ye must be born again.” — John 3:7 (KJV)
The Gospel Still Changes Lives
Jesus Christ died for sinners and rose again so humanity could be reconciled to God. Through repentance and faith in Him, people receive forgiveness, eternal life, and the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit.
Across the 10/40 Window, countless people remain spiritually hungry. They do not merely need religion. They need spiritual rebirth through Jesus Christ.
Lord Jesus, I believe You died for my sins and rose again. Wash me, forgive me, and make me new through Your Spirit. I surrender my life to You. Amen.
